How it works:
Most women have a regular period for around 40 years, experiencing up to 500 menstrual cycles over this time.1

During this phase of life, many women experience symptoms of PMS in the days before the onset of their monthly period.2 For example, some women experience premenstrual breast pain (mastalgia). Others experience period pain prior to or during their periods which is often felt as an aching or gripping sensation3 or have an irregular and unpredictable cycle.1 Period-related issues often affect a woman's quality of life and can result in time away from school and work, depending on their severity.1

PMS symptom and period pain relief
In Western herbal medicine, vitex is traditionally taken to relieve both period pain and PMS symptoms such as breast tenderness. Oriental Botanicals Vitex includes equivalent to 1g Vitex agnus-castus (or chaste tree) fruit per tablet.

Herbal help for irregular periods
Some women experience an irregular menstrual cycle for much of their life.3 Vitex is traditionally used in Western herbal medicine for relief of irregular periods, and to maintain a healthy menstrual cycle and women's reproductive system.
